ROBOT WARS - 29/09/2006

Are human-built robots the answer to the crop circle mystery, asks SHIPERTON HENETHE..?

Has anyone given serious consideration to the idea that all these circles might not be done by some kind of robot(s) coming out of a university department? It would be pretty simple to set up a few beacons so that the robot(s) would know where they are to within a fraction of an inch. And then it's just a matter of building some sort of device at the front to lay the corn as it goes along.

Once programmed with the area that it needs to cover, the robot could cheerfully work in total darkness - effectively all night without human intervention.
