Two bits of circle-finding advice regarding the ‘Google Earth’ software (which enables one to obtain aerial views of anywhere on the planet) from CYRILLE CUISINIER and BARRY REYNOLDS...
I often use Google Earth to better know the place I've been or I'll go to. But I discovered that Google Map tool is more accurate than Google Earth. Thus, I have found some crop circle ‘ghosts’, mainly around Avebury. This is an indication of the date of the satellite picture too. For now, I've only found a few ghosts from 2003's season. Examples:
*
Avebury Stone Avenue, nr West Kennett, Wiltshire. Reported 9th August 2003
