There are numerous references to Japanese rice paddy formations in several crop circle books. The 1991 book ‘Circles from the Sky’ (Souvenir Press, edited by Terence Meaden) contains a short chapter on them, with diagrams, but the information is inevitably dated, if still valuable. Anyone out there aware of any more contemporary sources? Let us know! – Ed
