John Vent makes an observation about node-lengthening in response to Eltjo Haselhoff’s recent article...
In his article, Dr. Eltjo Haselhoff, states that "...the node lengthening in several crop circles corresponds perfectly to the effect that would be created by a ball of light, heating up the crop during the creation of the crop circle." This may be true, however, it seems to me a 'node' is going to get more sunlight laying on its side than standing straight up and surrounded by other plants. This also explains the varying lengths of the nodes within the circle, as those on the inside have full-exposure while those on the outside are shadowed by the surrounding plants part of the day.
